    Outdoor Gear Sale List

    Sunday, March 4th, 2007

I have been working alot lately on one of my sites,, and have just put some of the finishing touches on a recent project.

With the help of some of the site’s sponsors, I have created automated scripts to pull data feeds from their inventories of Outdoor Gear (Climbing, Camping, Hiking, Skiing etc), and have consolidated them into one tidy list of cheap/sale items in one spot.

    Outdoor Gear On Sale
I’m a huge gear fan, so this was a bit of a selfish project as I will use the list probably more than anyone, but at the same time, I hope some others out there will find some use out of a single source for inexpensive gear.

The best part of the whole gig is the retailers that we teamed up with are all local Oregon gear shops so far: Backcountry Gear out of Eugene, and OMC from Portland. USOutdoor from Portland will be added soon, as will Mountain Gear from Spokane.

    backcountry glisse bliss

About a month ago my gaper-steez took a major blow while out playing at tammy mcarthur rim while stomping a HUGE air (uh yeah) my knee went a-pop. I gimped through a sickter trip up in Snoboy’s backyard during the healing process, but this week marked the return of timm@y to the BC of central oregon.

Alas, here is some fresh stoke from the steep-sickness that lies within the three sisters wilderness.

    Kwohl Butte Skiing

    Monday, December 18th, 2006

Had a great weekend of skiing, finishing up at Kwohl Butte on Sunday:

    Todd Lake

    Tuesday, October 24th, 2006

The puppies and I made a quick jaunt up to Todd Lake this morning. No cars in the lot meant we enjoyed solitude on our little hike. The colors along with the light dusting of snow on Bachelor made for excellent scenery. Check the flickr feed on the right for some more pics.

    Canyon Creek Meadows

    Monday, October 23rd, 2006

Right here –> <— I was going to post a beautiful picture of Three Fingered Jack from Canyon Creek Meadows, but alas someone forgot to put fresh batteries in the digi cam before the hike. Oh well, you’ll have to take my word for it that it was a beautiful autumn day in the alpine.

It had been a few years since we headed up to Jack Lake TH to do this great hike. Last time we did it in early summer and got some skiing in. Since then the B&B fire has left its mark on the first portion of the trail, but fortunately the amazingly beautiful alpine meadows on the East side of TFJ were left unscathed.

Chinook and Sierra had a great time, and are appropriately arsed out today. Again, I heart Fall Hiking.
